Oak & Holly Cycle and Blood Type are connected within the same world. How does that work? What order do I have to read them in?

Blood Type is a pre-Monster War NYC where vampires are the first monsters to come out of the dark after discovering a “cure” where to curb their animal instincts they need to drink the same blood type they were before they were turned. The answer to that? Capitalism! They employ humans. Enter Reyna who is employed by one of the senior execs of the company, Beckham.

Oak & Holly Cycle is a post-Monster War NYC where all known monsters (but not magic) have appeared in the city after a great war over who has the right to kill humans and which monsters should be in charge. Enter my little thief, Kierse, who steals from the wrong monster, Graves, and discovers she has magic.

There are Easter eggs for Blood Type in Robin (book 2). There are Easter eggs for Oak & Holly in Captive (book 2). There is a big crossover for Oak & Holly in Rebel (book 3) and in Raven (book 3). I would recommend reading ALL three Blood Type books before Raven releases in June for best reading experience.

Kerrigan is the main character for Royal Houses. She shows up in book 4&5 of the Ascension series.

They can be read in either order.

Do you plan to write more in this world?

I planned to write a series about Domara, focused on Danae. That is still in the works but is sidelined by a few other projects at the moment. She is not forgotten!

Contemporary Romance

Are you going to keep writing contemporary romance? YES! I love writing contemporary romance. But with the success of The Wren in the Holly Library, I have traditional publisher contracts that are keeping me incredibly busy and I have to meet those obligations before coming back to this.

Will there be more Wright books? At this time, the series is complete with Wright Kind of Love. I could absolutely see a next generation series with Colton Wright, but it isn’t speaking with me right now.

Are the Kings coming? I announced the Dorset & King series (and set it up across several books) before I knew what was going to happen with my traditional contracts. As much as I would love to write Malcolm King, he is currently on an indefinite hiatus until I have more time. But he’s still on my mind and I adore him and his heroine!

Are there more Coastal Chronicles books? Specifically, where is Marina and Nolan? For me, the Coastal Chronicles is complete. I had an idea to write Marina and Nolan, but was pulled away wanting to write the Kings and specifically the arranged marriage for Malcolm. I hope I can come back one day!

I read the short story for Blake & Bailey, will they be getting their own book? I had planned for them to appear in the Dorset & King books, but at this time they are on hiatus. If you haven’t read their free short story check it out here.
