Broken Record Update

I’ve had about a million questions recently along the lines of when are you writing Savannah’s story? Is Broken Record still happening? Are you going to write this for us? Please write it exactly this way so I’ll be happy. If this is still happening where is it? Etc Etc.

So, I thought I’d put this all in one place again.

Broken Record is still happening. It is Savannah’s story, a spin off of the Record series. Savannah/Lucas/Easton are still coming.

When I sat down to try to write this story last fall, it gave me extreme anxiety. Every time I would try to write it, I would draw a complete blank and basically freak out. Sometimes I’d break down in tears just because the words weren’t there and I was going kind of insane. I don’t normally talk about that kind of thing on here, because sometimes that’s just part of life. But I’ve had so many questions I thought I’d address it.

I had no inspiration to write Savannah. In fact, it was detrimental to my health to do so. So I put her on the back burner and wrote The Wright Brother instead for fun.

I still intend to write Savannah and I hope that I can release it by the end of the year. That’s the plan. I have a lot of commitments at the end of the year between Austin’s book, The Wright Mistake, The Consort, and my new paranormal series, Blood Type, and I’m trying not to stress out. I want Savannah’s book to the be the best I can give you!

Thank you all so much for being understanding that it has taken longer than I originally intended. But the last Maxwell will still get her say!

If you want more frequent updates (I talk about this A LOT in my reader group. A LOT!), then join my Facebook group! I’m in there all the time discussing this sort of thing and giving stuff away!

  1. Found your Record series on my recent vacation. They made the road trip from STL to TX bearable! Can’t wait for Savannah, and hopefully Chris’s story!

  2. Thanks so much for sharing. I think sometimes us readers forget our favorite authors are human and face the same sort of struggles we do in our professions and life situations. Take the time you need to make sure you stay happy and healthy so we can continue to enjoy your passion for writing.

  3. Thanks for letting us know! I too hope to have Savi’s book and maybe Chris could maybe have his own story to tell. I HAVE LOVED THIS SERIES SO FAR!!

  4. Thanks for sharing. I read the Wright series first and then found the Record series. Looking forward to Savi’s story but it has to be right with you in order to write it. Would also love to see Chris and Gigi have a story. Take care of you and the words will come. God bless.

  5. Thank you for the update. It is not worth the stress, and you should not let it tie you up in knots. You are committed, so it will happen, naturally. Be sure you include touches of the family. It made the series, and it flowed easily and with heart and soul. When you are ready, we will be ready to pre order and enjoy.
    Thank you so much

  6. Love your “Record” series. Savi’s story is in there so we’ll just wait for her to tell you. Enjoy everything you write.
